History of Eagle Mountain
Although Eagle Mountain is one of Utah's newest cities, the area has a rich history that includes Utah's first military post and the Pony Express Trail. Eagle Mountain incorporated in December 1996, with that same pioneering spirit. In honor of this history Eagle Mountain City annually celebrates its "Pony Express Days" every June.

Eagle Mountain's incorporation consists of more than 42 square miles of the most pristine land to be found anywhere. It is located in what is commonly known as Cedar Valley, famous for the many eagles that can be observed along its slopes. This is also the origin from which Eagle Mountain derives its name.

Today, people are moving to Eagle Mountain for the wide open spaces, starry skies and quality of life. Located just west of the hustle and bustle of the Wasatch Front, Eagle Mountain is conveniently located and boasts one of Utah's fastest growing communities. There are approximately 120-160 new residents that call Eagle Mountain their new home every month.

Eagle Mountain gives its residents and visitors the opportunity to experience first hand Utah's wide open beauty and charm of years past while residing in one of Utah's premier master planned communities of the future.
